Chancellor Kenneth Clarke has proposed a standard VAT rating for all people movers, including monorail, cable cars, road trains, and trams used within theme parks. The proposal has been made to clear confusion over the types of transport which qualify for zero-VAT rating. The move is expected to have a negative impact on suppliers and operators.
